This page is for the Explorer's Bible Study class. Here you may keep up with our current study topic.
"All four books of the Bible that tell the story of Jesus stand alone, each emphasising a unique aspect of Jesus’ life. When these are blended into one complete, chronological account, or harmonized, we gain new insights about the message of Christ, as we are better able to visualise His travels, the progress of His ministry, and the responses of the people.
The objective of this study is to gain a fuller personal understanding of Christ’s life, ministry, and teaching by studying the events recorded in the four Gospels in the order in which they occurred. No preconceived doctrine or interpretation of Scripture is to be professed. We will seek a fuller personal understanding of what the Gospels say through open ended discussions of the Scriptures in the order listed in the attached Harmony outline and by referring to other credible sources.
Sessions will be moderated group discussions of topics in the order of their occurrence in the provided study outline harmony. Selected Biblical cross references and other recognized sources will be pursued to aid our understanding of the Gospels’ contents. The time spent on any topic or discussion will be determined by the interests and participation of the participants. "
